Meet Alpha, a nine year old Husky mix with a tricolor brown, black, and white coat and the gentlest soul you could ask for. Alpha came to the shelter in the middle of a diabetic crisis and was rushed to emergency care, and thanks to that quick intervention, he is now stable and doing well. He does require insulin injections twice a day, regular blood glucose monitoring, and a consistent diet, and he is also visually impaired, but none of that has slowed down his sweet, easygoing spirit.

This gentleman loves nothing more than spending time close to his people, soaking up affection, and settling in for a long nap. He walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys unhurried strolls where he can take his time sniffing and exploring the world at his own pace. Alpha would do best in a home with children ages 10 and older, and for now he needs to be the only animal in the house. He has so much love left to give, and he is ready for someone to slow down and enjoy the ride with him.
